Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Our goal at Animal Clinic East is to provide individualized medical care. No-shows, late shows, late cancellations and late reschedules, results in an unused appointment slot that could have been used for another pet in need. This policy has been established in order to provide the highest level of veterinary care to all of our patients.

“No Show” describes any appointment that is missed without notification.

“Late Cancellation” describes an appointment cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

“Rescheduled” describes an appointment rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

“Late” describes a client who arrives 15 minutes or more after the scheduled appointment start time.

Policy

Due to an increasing number of “no shows” , same day cancellations and rescheduled appointments, combined with a very high demand for services, we will start implementing the following cancellation policy:

A $76 non-refundable deposit will be required for future services if you have “no-showed”, cancelled or rescheduled your appointment with less than 24 hours. This fee will be applied to your appointment if it is kept. You will forfeit this deposit if you no show or give less than 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling.

Termination of services will occur for multiple instances of policy breach.

Our goal is to provide timely care to all our patients and to respect not only the veterinarian’s time, but the constraints of a tightly booked schedule. If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request a courtesy phone call or PetDesk notification, at least 24 hours before your pet’s appointment. This allows us to accommodate other patients who may need prompt medical care.

How to Cancel or Reschedule Your Appointment: To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call 509-522-0763 at least 24 hours BEFORE your appointment. If you do not reach a receptionist, you may leave a detailed message on our voicemail. We will return your call promptly. If you utilize the PetDesk app, you can cancel your appointment on the app. Again, a 24 hour notice is required.
